The two most striking new features are a Stealth edition and a California Special that returns to the V8-powered GT model. The latter includes a unique black grille and other exclusive exterior and interior features. Different versions are also being added to the extensive catalogue of the sports car.
The Stealth edition is available on the four-cylinder EcoBoost Premium model and adds 19-inch wheels, numerous black interior and exterior elements, and clear taillight lenses.
The true sports car
The Ford Mustang is a sports car for fun. Whether it's for the simple pleasure of cruising the roads or to indulge in more dynamic driving, there is a version of the muscle car that will please you. Especially since the car is offered in both coupe and convertible models!
There is a myriad of possibilities when it comes to choosing your Mustang. Beyond the engines, there are spectacular styling packages or mechanical upgrade options that allow you to get the most out of it and tailor it to your specific needs.
The engine choices alone are exceptional. A 2.3-litre EcoBoost 4-cylinder Ford Mustang can go wild with its 310-horsepower and 350 pound-feet of torque. Paired with a 6-speed manual transmission, or a 10-speed automatic, it impresses.
The High-Performance option of the same engine adds 20 horsepower and even more efficient driving capabilities, including upgraded Brembo front brakes, a limited-slip differential, grippier summer tires, a unique chassis setup and much more.
Finally, true enthusiasts will appreciate the exceptional capabilities (and engine sound, it must be said) of the 5.0-litre V8 engine. In its original form, it delivers 460 horsepower, or 480 when placed under the hood of the Mach 1 version.
Depending on the version, the engines are paired with either sporty manual transmissions or Ford's exceptionally fast automatic transmission. A simple control on the dashboard allows you to reduce the exhaust noise, so you can have as much fun in urban areas without disturbing the neighbours!
On-board technology
Just because you're a classic doesn't mean you don't look to technology. All Mustangs are packed with safety and information technology that makes driving safer than ever. As standard, 2022 Mustangs get the Co-Pilot 360 safety package, one of the most comprehensive in the industry. The even more effective Smart and Safe package is available as an option.
A large, fully configurable 12-inch digital display gives the driver the ability to view all driving information. And an optional large multimedia screen displays the SYNC 3 system with its entertainment and comfort controls. And, of course, all Mustangs are compatible with the FordPass application.
Sporty but comfortable, the 2022 Ford Mustang and its multiple functions have lost none of its charms over the years. Nor of its immense driving pleasure.
